"Yoga Journey in Historic Ioannina: Tranquility Amidst Timeless Beauty" Our 200H Multi-Style Yoga Teacher Training Course will take place at the Yoga Fusion Shala & Urban Yoga House Hostel and Retreat in Ioannina, Greece. Nestled in Ioannina, once hailed as the "Capital of Enlightenment" in the mountainous province of Epirus, the location offers a harmonious blend of natural beauty and historical richness. Ioannina exudes an enchanting ambiance where the essence of forgotten centuries coexists with the twenty-first century's subtle influence. The old city, where our retreat is situated, proudly preserves its cultural heritage through exquisite examples of folklore architecture, providing a captivating glimpse into the city's past. Time seems to stand still within the fortified walls encircling the castle and the city, initiating a mysterious journey for those who venture within. The venerable Byzantine castle, Ioannina Castle, offers a panoramic view that might tempt you to extend your stay indefinitely. The iconic Pamvotida Lake, a true gem of Ioannina, and the lakeside pathway, shaded by ancient plane trees, create an idyllic haven for nature enthusiasts. Tranquil boat rides connect the city to a charming island, locally known as "Nisaki," nestled in the heart of the lake. The reflections of Mitsikeli mountain on the lake's surface add to the serene allure of the surroundings. Venturing beyond Ioannina, you can explore the ancient oracle of Dodoni, the picturesque town of Metsovo, the enchanting villages of Zagorochoria, and the awe-inspiring Vikos Gorge. Urban Yoga House, situated in the heart of the center and adjacent to the old city, will serve as your home during the training days. An integral part of Yoga Fusion Shala, Urban Yoga House operates as a yogic haven, an oasis in the cultural center of historic Ioannina. During the teacher training, both Yoga Fusion Shala and Urban Yoga House dedicate their facilities exclusively to the students. The yogic dormitories, private rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas are meticulously maintained, reflecting the ethos of simplicity, peace, and tranquility that we wholeheartedly extend to all our students.
